To make your steam profile private, you need 1 thing:
Find info page about steam
Find a guide to know how to make a steamOpen steam and go to your profile
Click "Edit Profile"
Click "My Privacy Settings"
Select "private"
Click "Save Changes"
Your Steam profile can contain information about yourself such as:
• your current online status
• your inventory
• groups joined
• games owned
• how much hours you played a game
• achievements
• screenshots
• how many friends you have and full friends list
• comments on your wall
• last games played
• ...

2. In the main menu bar, hover your name then a menu will appear
