In this tutorial we will learn how to make a gradient from one color to transparent!

Take "Blend Tool" — Take the "Blend Tool" which can make gradients, by clicking the gradient icon.

Click foreground color box — Click the foreground color box to choose a color which will be used as the 1st gradient color.

Choose a color — Choose a color by clicking somewhere in the color bar (1) then somewhere in the big box (2) to choose the saturation/brightness.

Choose "FG to Transparent" — Choose "FG to Transparent" (foreground color to transparent) as the gradient type.

For the gradient shape, choose whatever you want. For this tutorial I will choose
Linear
.

Draw a line — Draw an horizontal line if you want to make an horizontal gradient, a vertical line if you want to make a gradient from top to bottom, or anything you want, any length, any angle...

Here I will just draw an horizontal line from left to right to make a simple linear gradient.

Done! Don't hesitate to hit UNDO and try another color, length, angle... if you need! — Done!
